Our first Meetup! We'll get together for dinner, Wednesday, March 26. We'll meet at Zorba's, a tasty Greek restaurant in Dupont Circle. The prices are very reasonable and the menu is online. They have a nice area upstairs where we should all be able to hear each other.
The goal here is just to meet each other, see what we're about and enjoy some good food. There are a lot of questions that those of us working in technology and non-profits face:
- What common challenges do we have?
- What innovative solutions has your organization come up with to solve some of your problems?
- How do we differ from private companies, and how does that impact our operational decisions?
- What resources are available that would be of particular interest to non-profits?
- What role should technology play in helping a non-profit address its cause?
This is an open discussion; these are just some ideas to think about.
I'll get there a little early (around 6:20ish) and start munching on appetizers, so feel free to show up early if it fits your schedule better.
Directions from Metro: Get off the Dupont Circle north exit and walk half a block north. It's on your left. White building with blue trim.
Note: Date has changed - this was originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 25. Moved to Wednesday, March 26.
